Amsterdam’s Josh Beekman Cut By Indianapolis Colts

Josh Beekman is looking for work in the NFL again. The Amsterdam native was cut by the Indianpolis Colts on Sunday.

Beekman had signed a one-year contract with the Colts on August 11th but was part of their first wholesale roster cuts over the weekend.

Ex-Orioles Pitcher Mike Flanagan’s Death Ruled A Suicide

Today, a Maryland medical examiner ruled that former Baltimore Orioles pitcher Mike Flanagan died of a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head.

The 59-year-old was upset about financial issues according to a police investigation. He didn't leave a suicide note.
