In girls action, the Spartans knocked off Averill Park, 9-6, in a Suburban Council matchup. Nicole Bearsley was the offensive star with five goals.

Meanwhile, the boys squad got the best of Queensbury, 14-3, in non-league play. Trevor Hiss exploded for four goals and an assist while Nick Vincent added two goals and four assists.

In other girls action, Morgan Hardt put together five goals and an assist to power Guilderland over Shaker, 12-6, in the Suburban Council.

Kayla Treanor continued her fine play on offense with four goals as Niskayuna downed Columbia, 14-2.

Thanks to Kelly Wall's five goals, Shenendehowa hung on for an 11-10 win over Bethlehem.

Moriah Greenstein supplied five goals and an assist for the Eagles.

The Colonial Council saw Jayne Ryan hit four goals and three assists to lead Holy Names past Cohoes, 17-6, in the Capital District Women's Lacrosse League.

Albany Academy beat Schenectady, 15-10, in the Colonial Council. Mark Knowlton had three goals and an assist while Jordan Zaman delivered five goals for Schenectady.

High-flying Niskayuna saw Luke Goldstock with four goals and two assists while Matt Sexton added three goals and four assists in a 20-0 Suburban Council victory over Columbia.

In another offensive-minded game, Mike Jenkins connected for four goals and five assists and Kyle Marr contributed four goals and three assists to propel Shenendehowa over Bethlehem, 17-9.

Brian Schneider unleashed seven goals as LaSalle turned away Troy, 16-10, in the Big 10.

And John Bassett put together four goals and three assists to help CBA whip Amsterdam, 20-1.

In softball, Mikayla Moore took the spotlight pitched a two-hitter and struck out 22 in a hard-fought 2-0 victory for Stillwater over Hoosick Falls in 11 innings in the Wasaren League.

Rachel Quackenbush also had a fine performance for Hoosick Falls mowing down 19 batters.

In a thrilling game, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk was trailing 10-0 after 4 1/2 innings, but rallied to post a 12-11 win over Cobleskill-Richmondville in the Colonial Council.

Lindsay Achzet clubbed a two-run homer, double and single as Johnstown picked up an easy 22-1 non-league victory over Galway.

In baseball, Jean Gomez slammed two doubles, single and two RBI and Nick Pascarella added a triple, two singles and two RBI as Schalmont beat Mechanicville, 8-1, in the Colonial Council.

Rory Little hurled a three-hit, 12 strikeout performance as Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake knocked off Averill Park, 7-0. Rob Knightes and Jeff Heck had two singles apiece.

Greg Scott pitched a no-hitter to power Greenwich past Cambridge, 3-0, in a Wasaren League matchup.

In other action earlier this week, Luke Goldstock tallied six goals and four assists as Niskayuna downed Guilderland, 16-4, in the Suburban Council.

Trevor Hiss had another big game with five goals and five assists as Burnt Hills downed Ballston Spa, 9-8.
