The New York Knicks are off to a decent start to the season as they currently sit 12-7 thru 19 games and are the fifth overall seed in the Eastern Conference standings.  They have a big quarterfinal matchup tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks for the In Season Tournament, which I could care less about.  I get the fact that it is supposed to bring more interest to the NBA regular which it has been doing, but the regular season is still too boring to me.  However, this is a big statement game for the Knicks.  If they want to consider themselves legitimate contenders in the East then go out and beat the Bucks tonight on the road.  They have a good and competitive team this season with the likes of Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle, RJ Barrett and company.  Head coach Tom Thibodeau preaches defense and rebounding and they have done that very well so far this season.

The Knicks have played well at home too at Madison Square Garden and they have a talented deep roster.  But they need to go get a superstar player.  Jalen Brunson is not a superstar.  He is a very good player but he needs some help around him.  Every year and every season the Knicks are reluctant to give up some of their pieces in order to get a next level superstar.  Now would be the time to go get somebody if possible.  The Knicks are putting out a consistent and good product on the floor each night and more players are going to want to play for them now.
