The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles may have produced the biggest upset and the best highlight of the 2013 NCAA Tournament against Georgetown.

Florida Gulf Coast pulled off a shocker against Georgetown 78-68 on Friday night.  It’s only the seventh time in NCAA Tournament history that a No. 15 seed beat a No. 2 seed.  Sherwood Brown led all scorers with 24 points for Florida Gulf Coast while teammate Bernard Thompson pitched in 23 points.

With 1:56 remaining in the game, Florida GC’s Brett Comer executed a beautiful lob pass that Chase Fielder hammered home.  The spectacular play gave the Eagles a 67-58 lead that they wouldn’t relinquish.  After getting to the Final Four in 2007, it’s been slim pickins for the Hoyas.  Check out the early exits Georgetown has suffered in the NCAA Tournament.
