San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was his normal joyful self during an in-game interview with TNT’s David Aldridge.

TNT’s David Aldridge asked Gregg Popovich on Thursday night if he was happy with his team’s ball movement. “We’re in the middle of a contest. Nobody’s happy,” Popovich said. I love it. Aldridge handled himself well and cracked a joke at the end of the interview. It’s important to not take things too personally when Pop is simply being Pop.

I find Gregg Popovich to be hilarious. If you watch Popovich closely, he’s really not a jerk just for the sake of being a jerk. He might disagree with a line of questioning from time to time, but it’s not like he objects to all questions.

Popovich has the reputation of being argumentative all of the time. He’s really not. Pop didn’t object to the second question that was posed by David Aldridge. The guy isn’t always a pain in the butt, just part of the time.

The San Antonio Spurs beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 86-84 on Thursday night. Tony Parker hit a buzzer-beater to win the game for the Spurs. Parker drained a 21-foot shot from the left elbow to give the Spurs (2-0) their first home win of the season.
