This weekend's Breeders' Cup is loaded with star power and the Capital Region's own Chad Brown is providing plenty of it. The trainer from Mechanicville is bringing 12 horses over 8 races to the gorgeous city of San Diego and Del Mar Racetrack. Brown's best shot at a win may be with Lady Eli in the Filly & Mare Sprint at the track nicknamed "where the turf meets the surf."

Most horse racing fans are buzzing about the rematch between Arrogate and Gun Runner. Arrogate is, of course, famous for winning the Travers in 2016 in a record time and then beating California Chrome in the Breeders' Cup Classic later that year. Gun Runner had a special summer at Saratoga just a few months ago, but he is still looking for that signature win in a race that includes Arrogate. The timing and venue might just be perfect for Gun Runner to make that happen on Saturday.
