Section II Pairings Announced – Albany Area High School Football

Section II football will start its "second season" on Friday, Oct. 21.  Pairings for the postseason tournament were announced Sunday morning at CBA of Albany.

Class AA: Shenendehowa will host Shaker and Ballston Spa travels to LaSalle in the top bracket while CBA of Albany entertains Schenectady and Guilderland visits Columbia in the bottom bracket. All games start at 7 p.m.

Class A: Glens Falls journeys to Troy and Mohonasen invades Burnt Hills (top bracket) while Queensbury goes to Bishop Maginn and Lansingburgh travels to Amsterdam (bottom bracket). All games start at 7 p.m.

Class B: Hudson visits Schalmont, Schuylerville makes a trip to Ravena (top bracket), Cohoes is on the road against Cobleskill-Richmondville and Albany Academy hosts Hudson Falls (bottom bracket). The latter game is Saturday, Oct. 22 at p.m.

Class C: Taconic Hills journeys to Hoosick Falls on Friday at 7 p.m. and Greenwich visits Watervliet on Saturday at 1 p.m. (top bracket). Chatham travels to Tamarac on Friday at 7 p.m. and Stillwater goes to Fonda-Fultonville Saturday at 1 p.m. (bottom bracket).

Class D: Whitehall vs. Cambridge at Schuylerville on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. and Whitehall vs. Rensselaer at Schuylerville on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.

Crossover games: AA-Bethlehem at Niskayuna, Colonie at Saratoga, Albany at Averill Park (AA-A); A-Scotia at Gloversville, Green Tech vs. South Glens Falls at Bleecker Stadium (Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.); B-C-Hoosic Valley at Ichabod Crane, Corinth at Canajoharie (C), Johnstown at Mechanicville, Broadalbin-Perth at Coxsackie-Athens (Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.) and Voorheesville at Granville (C-Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.).

All crossover games are Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
