Shen Hockey Uses 3 OT to Top Nisky/Schenectady

It took three overtimes for the defending Section II champs on Wednesday night, but the Shen hockey team toppled Niskayuna/Schenectady in the first round of sectional play.

Chris Aarons scored in the third OT to give the Plainsmen the 5-4 win.

Peter Russo, the top scorer in the Capital Region, had a hat trick in the victory.

Shen will play Burnt-Hills-Ballston Lake/Ballston Spa on Saturday at 4 p.m.
