Siena Baseball To Play Rider In MAAC Tourney

The Siena College baseball team is headed to the MAAC Tournament for the first time since 2008.

Siena will be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming MAAC Tourney and will face defending champ and No. 2 seed Rider in the First Round Thursday at 7pm at Waterfront Park in Trenton, N.J.

Siena enters the MAAC Tournament red-hot having won 12 of its last 17 games and six straight conference series to end the season. The Saints took two of three games from No. 2 seed Rider and No. 4 seed Canisius, and although they were swept by No. 1 seed Manhattan, that series took place back in late March on a bitter cold weekend in Loudonville.

Top seed Manhattan and No. 4 seed Canisius will meet in the other 1st Round game in the double elimination Tournament.
