Helping to raise money for breast cancer awareness Siena announced the date for their annual Pink Zone game. It will take place February 15th, 2013, when the Lady Saints take the court against Rider University at the Alumni Recreation Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Since the Saints started the annual game they have raised over 75,000 dollars for Capital Region Action Against Breast Cancer (CRAAB). This year they have set a goal of raising 30,000 dollars for CRAAB.

New Head coach Ali Jaques said of the event "our Pink Zone game is traditionally the biggest event our program supports here at Siena. I am so proud of the groups and people that collaborate to promote such an important cause and hope that once again that the community will rally behind this event  and continue to show their generous support."

In last season's Pink Zone game over 1,200 fans showed up and over a record 25,000 dollars was raised. Just before tip-off the Saints will hold a special survivors recognition  honoring local breast cancer survivors onto the court in recognizing the courage displayed battling the dreaded disease. The players will all wear custom made pink uniforms and all fans are encouraged to wear pink as well and to create a "pink out". For more information you can call 518-782-6769.
