Jeremy Welsh Signs Entry-Level NHL Contract

Junior forward Jeremy Welsh signed an entry-level NHL contract with the Carolina Hurricanes last night, announced Ron Francis, Director of Hockey Operations for the Carolina Hurricanes. Welsh will join the Hurricanes in Ft. Lauderdale for the team’s final game of the 2011-12 NHL season against the Florida Panthers on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m..

Let's face it - there are just too many professional sports teams.  The quality of play is suffering because of it.

The talent pool is diluted - meaning that there aren't enough good players on each team and several players that aren't good enough to be on professional rosters.
