Interleague play has turned into an unbalanced schedule of interleague play and it has never before been this early.  Early as in Opening Day for the Angels and Reds.  Early as in NOW for the New York Yankees.  The Diamondbacks invade the Bronx in a re-match of the 2001 World Series...

After being washed out twice in Cleveland after winning two in dominating fashion over the Indians, the Yanks return home for three games against red-hot Baltimore who took two of three from the Red Sox in Boston.  Here is a preview of the weekend series in the Bronx.

One of the tallest orders in baseball is facing an ace who has an array of pitches and can go deep into the game.  Add to that someone of Justin Verlander's ability who is in complete physical and mental control.  The Yankees have that task today.

CC Sabathia struggled through his first 5 innings of the 2013 MLB regular season, allowing four runs and walking four batters. His pitching line was just a small example of a painful start to the season, with very few bright spots from the entire team. For the first time since 1986, the New York Yankees lost a home game on Opening Day, going down the Boston Red Sox 8-2 in the Bronx.

A bunch of students from the Colorado College ultimate Frisbee team managed to pull off a "Harlem Shake" video (yes, another one) while on an airplane. Federal authorities were not pleased.

New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia has gotten in on the Harlem Shake craze.  As played out as this concept is; this video is pretty hilarious.

After a prolonged slide, the New York Yankees needed someone to step in and turn the momentum. They were hoping that CC Sabathia, fresh off of a stint on the disabled list, would be able to provide that turn against the Cleveland Indians...

Following Saturday afternoons victory it was announced that C.C. Sabathia will head to the 15 day DL with what is being called "elbow tightness". Sabathia last started on Wednesday in Detroit and threw a normal bullpen session on Friday, but word was swirling around that he was suffering minor soreness in his throwing arm prior to Saturdays game...

Injuries have plagued Major League Baseball this season and quite a few Yankees have been injured as well. You can now add CC Sabathia to that list as he has been placed on the 15 day DL.

The Yankees (10-6) cruised to a 7-4 victory on Monday night over the Texas Rangers (13-4) in the first game of a three game series.  C.C. Sabathia had arguably his most complete start of the season and the Yankee bats remained hot coming off the two game series in Boston over the weekend...

The Yankees (6-5) bats were hot on Tuesday against the Minnesota Twins (3-8). The Yanks pounded out 13 hits in the 8-3 victory. Each hitter in the starting lineup produced a base hit with the exception of Alex Rodriguez.
