The New Orleans Pelicans: A Twitter Perspective

The New Orleans Hornets have apparently decided that they’re changing their name from the Hornets to the Pelicans, instantly stripping any masculinity or credibility from the franchise. In the wake of this fantastically terrible development I took to Twitter to see how the people of this great nation were taking the news. Here are some highlights:

First, I was surprised to see New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira weighing in with a heavy dose of sarcasm.

Of course, if you’re going to talk Hornets (or Pelicans I suppose), then you’re going undoubtedly get a heavy dose of eyebrow humor.

I decided to show this one some love, mostly to applaud the effort.

This guy is just a hater. A top of the line hater, but a hater none the less. I mean damn, the poor guy has never even played for New Orleans. He’s not even in the league any more!

My man "Dutch Master" should be expecting Roger Goodell to issue him a hefty fine by week’s end.
