Yankees Pitcher Makes Long Awaited Debut

Getty Images

Michael Pineda became a Yankee in January of 2012 in a trade that sent Star catching prospect Jesus Montero to the Seattle Mariners. The thought at the time was the phenom All Star Rookie pitcher would join CC Sabathia in the starting rotation creating a dominant one, two punch for years to come. Sadly Pineda spent the last two seasons hurt and rehabbing. It is with great excitement and curiosity I watch Michael Pineda take the mound today against the Toronto Blue Jays in his big league Yankees debut. First pitch is at 1:07 pm EST Coverage starts at 12:30 pm EST on 104.5 FM.
