104.5 The Team Remembers Kenneth Place
It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that our colleague and friend, Kenneth Place, passed away Friday afternoon.
This is heartbreaking news for me, all of us at 104.5 The Team, and the Albany radio community. Ken will be deeply missed by those privileged to know him.
Ken was one of our glue guys. He was a loyal and dedicated radio pro who worked tirelessly to support and help our on-air personalities shine. He produced thousands of shows not just for 104.5 The Team over the last few years, but throughout his 30-year career in Albany radio. More importantly, Ken was a great human being and a great friend who shared our passion and love for radio.
On a personal note, I loved working with Ken. He was a great colleague but an even better friend and will be missed.
Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies are with Ken’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Memorial contributions in Ken's memory can be made to Mary's Soup Kitchen 2416 7th Ave. Watervliet, N.Y. 12189.
You can read Ken's online memorial here.
God speed Ken – we will miss you.
