The Union College baseball team won the Liberty League championship this year and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, where they went two-and-out, losing to Ramapo and Castleton.

It's the second time in three years that the Dutchmen have advanced to the NCAA Tournament and the third consecutive year that a Capital Region team won the Liberty League (RPI won in 2015).

We brought in Union College baseball coach Paul Mound today to talk about the team's success, the growth of baseball in New York at the Division III level, and also about the success of Jake Fishman.

The left-hander went 7-0 this year with a 0.41 ERA in 66 innings. He allowed just three earned runs on the year. We asked Mound what makes him so good and if he's had interest at the Major League level as the MLB Draft approaches.

Mound said 19 teams have called about Fishman.
