It has been a  busy few days for the Albany Devils. 1st they defeated the Hershey Bears on the Atlantic City Boardwalk 6-4. Five Devils notched multiple point games. Mike Sislo and Joe Whitney each scored a pair of goals. Phil DeSimone and Matt Anderson each put up 3 points. The 6 goals ties a season high for Albany.

The Devils scored 2 goals in each of the 3 periods in winning their 3rd straight game. Mike Hoeffel scored his 1st goal for Albany since October 24th. It was his 3rd of the year.

The Devils are now idle until Friday when they take on Syracuse again.

However the front office is anything but quiet. The Devils lose their top net minder as Keith Kinkaid gets the call to the show, called up by the parent NJ Devils after Martin Brodeur goes down with a back injury. New Jersey put the hall of fame goaltender on injured reserve. He is out until at least March 4th. The Devils are in Winnipeg on Thursday. It is not expected that Kinkaid will start this game or if he will just back up Johan Hedberg.

For Kinkaid it is his 1st call up to the NHL.

The Devils make a few other moves. Center Kelly Zajac has been recalled from Trenton of the ECHL. Albany has also received left wing Jean Sabastian-Berube on loan from the same Trenton team
