One night after winning their preseason opener against Adirondack the Albany Devils came right back to take down the Connecticut Whale 3-1 in Cromwell, Connecticut on Wednesday night.

Brandon Burlon, Harri Pesonen, and Darcy Zajac scored for Albany. Albany is now 2-0 in the preseason. Burlon scored the first goal right before the end of the first period.

The Devils kept up the momentum scoring early in the second period on a goal by Pesonen. Zajac finished off the Whale, scoring four minutes after the Pesonen goal.

Jeff Frazee and Maxime Clermont combined to stop 18 shots for the win. Frazee left midway through the second period after stopping ten shots.

Game three of the Devils' exhibition slate is Friday night again on the road in Binghamton  against the Senators. Faceoff is 7:05 p.m. at the Broome County Memorial Arena.
