Albany Drops Just Two Spots in FCS Poll After Loss

The UAlbany Great Danes football team fell just two spots from 17th to 19th, in the recently released FCS coaches poll. The coach Greg Gattuso led Great Danes lost 36-30 in triple overtime to nationally ranked Richmond. The Richmond Spiders ranked this week as the seventh best team in the country. The Great Danes will look to bounce back as they prepare for back to back road games. UAlbany first heads out to Maine to take on the Black Bears this Saturday at noon. The following weekend pits UAlbany against the nationally ranked Villanova Wildcats in Philadelphia. After those road games, the Great Danes return to the capital region to host Elon on October 29th.
