Albany Empire Player to Watch Against Philadelphia
The Albany Empire come into this weekend with not only the chance to claim the #1 seed in the AFL Playoffs, but the opportunity to host the ArenaBowl at the Times Union Center if they were to make it there. The Empire have won their last 2 games and are apart of a 3 way tie atop the AFL standings but the victory this weekend will clinch the #1 seed. The Empire hold the tiebreaker over Baltimore so even if both teams win, the Empire would take the #1 seed.
My player to watch this weekend is wide receiver Collin Taylor. Taylor is coming off his best game of the season against Washington last weekend. With secondaries keying in on Malachi Jones and Joe Hills, this leaves Collin Taylor the opening to shine in big moments. Quarterback Tommy Grady has said that Taylor has some of the best hands in the league and after 5 catches for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns last week, I would expect Taylor to continue to shine with so much on the line this weekend!
