It's been well-written. Albany High had a winless football team this season. They hadn't won a Class AA game since 2007.

They were 3-50+ over the last several years.

But on Friday night, Albany High got that elusive AA win, and it's the catalyst for better things to come.

Albany High won its second game on its new field, the new turf field that opened on Oct. 17. The Falcons beat Colonie, 35-34.

I've been saying it for months: This new field for Albany is a difference maker.for the program.

This field, which is on-campus for the first time in school history, will allow kids to participate in the program. They won't have to worry about transportation to an off-campus site. This will help the Falcons build the numbers and depth they need.

Furthermore, it will re-energize a fan base, as they too can get to games easier and they can take pride in the school and its facilities.
