Could the UAlbany-Siena basketball rivalry known as the "Albany Cup" actually be coming back? One recent CBS Sports report believes that is a possibility. According to the CBS sports, report five college basketball tournaments could combine to all play in a "bubble" format from December 9th to December 20th. UAlbany is scheduled to play in the Tip-Off Tournament  while Siena is scheduled to play in the Hall of Fame Invitational CBS Sports' Matt Norlander laid out how a potential matchup between Siena and UAlbany could happen in front of no fans below

The Great Danes and Saints have not faced off on the hardwood since December 9th, 2017 when UAlbany defeated Siena 74-69. The Saints held the series advantage 10-7 but UAlbany had won five of the last six matchups. The rivalry continues to be on pause because of no compromise being made between both sides on where the games would be played each season
