In the most shocking move of the day, Arkansas has stolen Bret Bielema from Wisconsin. Despite struggling a bit this season, Bielema has led the Badgers to their third straight Rose Bowl appearance, and in his 7 years at the helm has turned the program into one of the best in the nation. Bielema’s decision to take the Razorbacks job adds to the popular sentiment that the SEC is clearly superior to the Big 10.

Auburn has hired now former Arkansas State head coach Gus Malzahn. Malzahn, who was Gene Chizik’s first offensive coordinator at Auburn, went 9-3 in his only season as the Red Wolves head man. Malzahn is credited for engineering the dynamic offense around Cam Newton that helped win Auburn the 2010 National Championship.

And finally, in the most listless move of the day, Boston College has hired Steve Addazio. Addazio had been the HC at Temple for the past two seasons, and prior to taking the Owls job was the offensive coordinator for the Florida Gators.
