On Sunday morning at 9:30AM, the Buffalo Bills will kick-off their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, a game which will be played in London, England. Fans will turn on their televisions, or their radios, and experience the game as it plays out in front of them.

What most fans won't consider during that broadcast, however, are the months of planning, weeks of preparation and days of execution that go into bringing a full NFL team, and their staff, across the pond for a game.

We gained a bit of insight into that fascinating process earlier this week.

Once the regular season begins, most NFL teams are run like smoothly-operating machines. They practice, they travel, they play, they travel, and they repeat. The consistent routine helps the players, some of the most well-trained and detail-oriented athletes in the world, maintain their high level of play each week.

Even a detail as seemingly harmless as time can screw up an athlete's gameday preparation. Every single detail needs to be checked, double-checked and triple-checked before the team can attempt a trip of this magnitude.

So, when you settle in with your legal-to-purchase-drink on Sunday morning, just remember this: it took a lot to get everyone to this point.
