Sabres Fans Are Upset Over What the Team Wore Last Night
The Buffalo Sabres might finally have a playoff-worthy roster.
Buffalo improved to a 7-3 record, with a 6-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at KeyBank Center on Wednesday evening. The Sabres were down 2-0 in the second period and then 3-1 early in the third period, but went on to score five straight goals.
Tage Thompson scored once again, while Victor Olofsson scored twice. Alex Tuch, JJ Peterka and Kyle Okposo scored the other goals.
The Sabres and Penguins both decided to debut their 2022-2023 reverse retro uniforms for Wednesday night's game and while the reaction for the jerseys were mostly good, the Buffalo fans had a less than stellar reaction for the pants.
The Sabres decided to wear all white with their reverse retros. They chose white pants with the white jerseys, which made for a very interested aesthetic on TV and in KeyBank Center.
I agree with the consensous that the white pants are a little too much. When the reverse retro jerseys were unveiled, I assumed they would be going with the blue pants. The white pants look off but I love the jersey, so that is not the issue for me.
The Sabres will be wearing the reverse retro look for seven more games this season and they will wear their still to be unveiled black and red jerseys on November 23rd, against the St. Louis Blues.
The Sabres will play two road games this weekend. Friday night in Carolina and Saturday night against Tampa Bay.
