The Vancouver Canucks move within one win of hoisting the first Stanley Cup in franchise history.  Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo played brilliantly in a 1-0 win against the Boston Bruins.

It seems like a distant memory that Roberto Luongo was pulled in Game 4 because of ineffective play in a 4-0 Canucks loss.  The goalie stood on his head in Game 5 by stopping 31 shots by the Boston Bruins.  By the way, "stood on his head" might be my favorite sports phrase ever.

Luongo posted his fourth shutout of the playoffs and second of the Stanley Cup finals.  He helped Vancouver take a 3-2 series lead.  Maxim Lapierre scored the only goal of the game on a ricochet off the back boards with 15:25 to play.  Game 6 is scheduled to take place in Boston on Monday night at 8pm ET.
