Catskill’s Mike Tyson Is Back
In one of the most bizarre, entertaining, and talked about sporting events of 2020, Catskill's Mike Tyson returned to the ring to take on Roy Jones Jr. The eight-round exhibition bout was broadcast to fans across the world on Triller with the overall fight ending in a draw. The fifty-four-year-old Tyson and fifty-one year old Jones Jr put on more of an impressive showing than some sports fans may have expected. Both fighters shared praise for one another following the bout.
According to the post-fight press conference and the USA Today Tyson admitted he had smoked marijuana before the fight. Due to the fight being an exhibition, marijuana was not listed as one of the banned substances for the fighters. Tyson was not the only fighter with New York connections in the ring Saturday night. Former New York Knicks and NBA slam dunk champion Nate Robinson was knocked out by YouTube star Jake Paul. The clip of Robinson getting knocked out has gone viral the past three days.
