Not a great day if you're a Yankees fan: Not only did the Yankees officially lose a piece that helped lead to their success last season, but they lost him to the rival Boston Red Sox.

Young has a two-year deal in place, reports say.

Young should figure into the Red Sox plans in more ways than one. First, he hits LHPs very, very well.

Secondly, he also fits into Fenway Park very, very well:

All of that should add up to make Young a good option for the Sox. It also adds depth to an OF that has young players like Jackie Bradley Jr., and Rusney Custillo.

Young did a good job to capitalize on his success with the Yankees and turn it into a multi-year deal. We have not seen the terms of the agreement yet but after a failed first-half of 2014 with the Mets, there were doubts whether or not he'd be a useful big leaguer again.
