DB’s Daughter Sydney Goes For 18/11 in Shen Girls’ Win
A big night of high school basketball last night and on the girls' side, a huge rematch of the Class AA title game from a year ago.
Shen topped Bethlehem 67-34 after the Eagles beat the Plainsmen last year at the Times Union Center to capture the Section II championship.
A big day for one of our own: Derek Brown of the DB Football Hour Powered by Blue Rock Energy: His daughter Sydney went for 18 points and 11 boards.
Brown is an extremely long and active player on the interior. She's getting Division I interest and as a junior, will certainly continue to generate more. She's one of the top players in Section II and paired with Binghamton-bound senior Carly Boland, they make arguably the top tandem in Section II.
Shen is undefeated at 5-0 this season and will look to continue their revenge tour in Section II as they aspire to re-capture the Class AA Championship.
