Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams was red hot from downtown against the Washington Wizards on Friday night.

Deron Williams hit an NBA-record nine 3-pointers in the first half on Friday night against the Washington Wizards.  The Nets walloped the Wizards 95-78.  Williams finished with a franchise-best 11 3-pointers and a season-high 42 points.  The Nets point guard came up one 3-pointer shy of the NBA record of 12 in a single game.

"I hit the first couple and just they were those shots where when they leave your hand they feel like they're good, and so I just kept shooting them," Williams said.  The Brooklyn Nets are holding onto the #4 seed in the East.  The Nets are currently (36-26).  The have a one-game lead over the Chicago Bulls for the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference.
