Capital Region native DJ Eberle covers the New York Yankees Triple A affiliate Scranton Wilkes-Barre Rail Riders for the Times Leader. He recently sat down with Yankees top pitching prospect Justus Sheffield. Does he see Sheffield being traded or being promoted to the Bronx?

When asked about the whereabouts of Ronald Torreyes DJ Erberle said:

"This is what is interesting a couple weeks ago we had a game in Lehigh Valley right after he just got called down. Pinch hit by Mark Payton and that was on a Monday. The next day he left the team because his wife was getting tests. There was a Family related issue. He was put on the Temporary disable list that was back at the end of June. Yesterday when Bobby Mitchell was asked he said he has not heard from him yet. Really the biggest thing is right now is you hope his wife is ok. She is having tests done and that the Family is ok. It is very interesting because you can only be on it the Temporary Disable list for so long and he has been gone now for about two weeks. No one knows where he is. Bobby Mitchell gets asked about it periodically and he doesn’t know. I don’t know where he just has to hope him and his family is ok."
