The most recent episode of "The Last Dance" included the 1996 NBA Finals and the Chicago Bulls beating the Seattle SuperSonics. The head coach of the Sonics at the time of course was George Karl and he was featured heavily in terms of comments made by Michael Jordan where he received some motivation from Karl not talking to him at a restaurant in Chicago. George Karl is a great friend to the Capital Region and joined Big Board Sports to discuss every question we have coming out of that episode.

The most surprising thing to me was that Karl did not know about the mention in the documentary until ESPN got in contact with him around the day the episode was to air. Coach Karl details that as well as whether or not Gary Payton demanded to guard Jordan, the truth about his strategy and whether or not he remembers the alleged "lack of encounter" Jordan talked about in the episode. Make sure to listen above!
