A four-time Golden Globe nominee, and the subject of one of my favorite "misheard lyrics" ever, is coming to Central New York. We have the latest updates on when, and where, you can see this actor and his band perform their live show in the near future.
Tony Danza Bringing "Standards & Stories" Show to New York in 2024
A story from New York Upstate shared the news that actor Tony Danza will be bringing his four-piece band out to the Stanley Theatre in Utica for a performance on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
The show is called Standards & Stories, and here is a clip showing a preview of what one could expect in Utica that night:
Danza rose to fame in the late 1970's and 1980's, thanks to his performances on the shows Taxi (1978–1983) and Who's the Boss? (1984–1992). He also appeared in short-lived sitcoms Hudson Street (1995) and The Tony Danza Show (1997), as well as movies like Angels in the Outfield, The Hollywood Knights and Going Ape!.
Before all of that, however, Danza, born Anthony Salvatore Iadanza, was a professional boxer, and holds a career records of nine wins and three losses.
A true renaissance man, Danza also released a live album, “Tony Danza: Standards & Stories,” in 2019.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 10th, through Ticketmaster and the Stanley Theatre Box Office. Presale, meanwhile, begins on Wednesday the 8th, and you can use the code TONY to jump the line and get your tickets early.
