Brandon Laird was a Major League-r for a little while. He played with the Yankees in 2011, and spent time with the Astros in 2012 and 2013. Now he plays in Japan, and he's doing something some pretty cool things:

ESPN Reports that Laird won a year's supply of beer and $10,000. Here's the video:

If you could win a year's supply of anything, what would it be? I think I would have to go with Subway. I can always buy beer, but free food is where it's at, especially because I can go multiple times a day and save even more money!

I bet Levack would like a year's supply of beer, though!

It's a cool story for Laird -- to get some attention and notoriety after playing just 53 games in the Majors over three years. He got just 127 official at-bats and hit .197. With the Yankees in 2011, he hit .190. He had six Major League homers.
