Firefly Returns to His Homecourt in Albany with the Globetrotters
For Siena fans, it probably seems a lot closer to yesterday than it does ten years ago for Tay Fisher was making six 3-pointers in the Saints' first round upset of Vanderbilt in the NCAA tournament. Every year since, when Fisher returns to the Times Union Center as a member of the Harlem Globetrotters, those memories are invoked.
He is now, and has been for nearly a decade, known as Firefly. That is all that has changed, however. Fisher is still the same affable, energetic, life-loving, three-point (and sometimes four-point) shooting kid in a grownup's body. The slick-dribbling guard's career as a 'Trotter has taken him to 70 different countries and he is one of the best at connecting with audiences everywhere when it comes to the team's anti-bullying message.
As you'll hear in our interview with Tay, 2018 was a big year for him and there is at least one big reason 2019 will be reason to celebrate.
