Firewolves’ Jackson Nishimura Misses “The Game Within The Game” [LISTEN]
Jackson Nishimura is only going into his third season in the National Lacrosse but he already sounds like a veteran you'd want on any roster. When the Albany Firewolves begin their inaugural season at the Times Union Center this December Nishimura will get to do what he loves again finally after being locked down in Toronto, Canada, play Box Lacrosse.
Unlike most of the When I asked Jackson what he missed most of the former New England Blackwolves and future Albany Firewolves Nishimura started in the world of Box lacrosse instead of field lacrosse. So I had to ask if he had vets of the outdoor game picking his brain to prepare for the transition to indoor and Nishimura was super humble. Making a point to embrace the experience of his teammates. To that point the part of the Box Lacrosse game Jackson Nishimura says he misses the most is his teammates, spending time with the guys. When I pushed to what he loves most about playing defense in box lacrosse Nishimura said "The game within the game". Listen to Nishimura and what the game within the game means below.
