Former Union College goalie Troy Grosenick made his NHL debut last night for the San Jose Sharks.

The ex-Dutchmen netminder had 45 saves in a 2-0 shutout of the Carolina Hurricanes. The Sharks were outshot 45-19.

According to Darren Millard of Sportsnet, Grosenick's performance is the most saves ever in a debut, breaking a record that had stood for 47 years.
