Former ValleyCat Included in Big Trade
The big news from the baseball Hot Stove on Wednesday was the trade of catcher/outfielder Evan Gattis from the Braves to the Astros.
Gattis, a power hitter, instantly improves a revamped Astros team that is trying to compete in the AL West in 2015.

But what you may not have realized is that former Tri-City ValleyCat Andrew Thurman is one of the three players going from Houston to the Braves.
Thurman, a second round pick in 2013 from UC-Irvine, spent the 2013 season with the 'Cats, going 4-2 in 39.2 innings.
