Last week, the Fresno Grizzlies captured the AAA Championship. The Grizzlies are the AAA affiliate of the Houston Astros and the reason you should care is because that roster featured several former Tri-City ValleyCats that you've seen through the years.

One such player is No. 11 Astros prospect Tony Kemp. The outfielder was an integral part of Fresno's squad and also got his start with the 2013 'Cats that won the New York-Penn League Championship.

Kemp joined us today at 1045theteam.com to talk about his experience in Fresno, as well as what he remembers about his time in Tri-City.

We asked him what it was like playing for current ValleyCats manager Ed Romero and his experiences working with current 'Cats hitting coach Russ Steinhorn.

Furthermore, Kemp is a former Vanderbilt Commodore, and with Shen pitcher Ian Anderson's commitment to Vandy, we asked Kemp what the pluses of going and playing at Vandy are.
