The Washington Redskins aren't going to be very good this year. After all the quarterback drama involving Robert Griffin III, how could they be?

The Miami Dolphins seemed to forget that on Sunday, letting Washington hang around before winning 17-10.

Part of the reason the Dolphins won? Former RPI kicker Andrew Franks.

Franks kicked the game-tying field goal early in the fourth quarter and converted on both of his extra-point attempts.

You can see Franks' first NFL field goal here:

Franks won the starting job in training camp, beating out incumbent kicker Caleb Sturgis.

Franks signed with the Dolphins after going undrafted. He received a lot of interest after the draft and worked out at RPI for multiple teams.

Franks wasn't the only local product to suit up on Sunday: Former UAlbany tight end Brian Parker is on the Chiefs team that started the year by beating the Texans in Houston.
