Giants offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz can play at multiple positions but isn’t shy in stating where he’s the most comfortable.

“I want to play guard,” said Schwartz. “I think I’m better at guard. Of course, I can play tackle but it’s not my preferred position.”

Late last season, the veteran offensive lineman was called upon to play at right tackle because that’s where he was needed. In 2015, it’s yet to be seen if that will be the case once again this year.

At right tackle, Marshall Newhouse is currently the starter but it’s not a stretch to believe that Schwartz could get the nod there with John Jerry moving up to start at right guard.

Either way, Schwartz, who has missed time while recovering from multiple injuries this off-season, will help the line wherever he is as long as he stays healthy.

“I know the fourth pre-season game get a lot of flack, but for me, it was important. I played a lot of reps again and rotated around a little bit. I got the start [Thursday] night and got to get in a rhythm with the ones. I have showed them signs that I’m healthy and ready to go for Sunday at Dallas.

“I don’t know quite yet if I’m starting. I prepare every week as if I’m starting, even when I wasn’t during the first couple of pre-season games. It was good to get out there and start and get in a rhythm with Weston and Marshall and our entire first team offense.”
