Congratulations to Glens Falls sophomore Joseph Girard III, who has just picked up his second official scholarship offer. Girard gets the offer from the University at Albany and head coach Will Brown.

Girard is gaining national notoriety for his ability to score the basketball. He averaged over 30 points a game as a freshman for Glens Falls this year and led the Indians to the Class B Sectional final, where they fell to Hudson.

Girard just attended the Super Sophomore camp in Atlanta where he was named to the camp's all-star game, and led his team in scoring.

Girard's other offer at this point is from High Point University but he says he has been talked to by multiple other Division I programs.

Will Brown's offer to Girard signifies that he sees Girard as a valuable D-I contributor, as Brown says he won't recruit players locally who won't get playing time.
