The Cooperstown Hall of Fame Classic is just months away (May 28th). The event features one former player from every major league team coming back to Doubleday Field to participate in the game (1 p.m.). Select players will also compete in the HR Derby at Noon.

Players already scheduled to play are:

Michael Barrett (Nationals), Brandon Backe (Astros), Danny Graves (Reds), Travis Hafner (Indians), Jerry Hairston Jr. (Dodgers), LaTroy Hawkins (Twins), Torii Hunter (Angels), Andruw Jones (Braves), Terrence Long (Athletics), Jamie Moyer (Phillies), Juan Pierre (Marlins), Todd Pratt (Mets), Desi Relaford (Mariners), Kerry Robinson (Cardinals), Aaron Rowand (White Sox), Andy Sonnanstine (Rays), Alfonso Soriano (Yankees), Ryan Spilborghs (Rockies), Tanyon Sturtze (Blue Jays), Jeff Suppan (Royals), Alan Trammell (Tigers), Jack Wilson (Pirates) and Steve Woodard (Brewers).

The event is a great time. I have worked at it the last two years on the field and have had the chance to interact with several former players. Alfonso Soriano is playing again and representing the Yankees.
