Who Created the Fat Crow Gourmet?

Michele Bleichert began the Fat Crow Gourmet with mustards and sauces that she put on the menu at her Binghampton brewpub called the Water Street Brewery. She always wanted to have a retail store and after she sold the brewery in 2019, she started making and packaging products according to the Albany Business Review. Michele and her business partner Luanne Rasmussen had been producing their stuff in a kitchen in Salem, NY so they are happy to be in a storefront in Troy.

Why Downtown Troy?

According to Michele,

When we were thinking about this place, we thought more about the vehicle traffic. But I was actually really surprised about the people coming to our shop that said they just live right nearby. And it's like, 'Well, this is pretty cool.' Lots of old buildings, really, really nice area. And we do hope that we see more development along this stretch, and it's kind of a little off the beaten path.
