The dream of going to the NCAA's died-hard for Will Brown's ballclub Sunday in the America East semifinals vs top seed Stony Brook. The back and forth contest ended at the buzzer as Dallis Joyner tipped in Dave Coley's missed jumper as time expired to lead Stony Brook to a hard fought 57-55 win over the Great Danes.

Joyner gave the Seawolves a 55-52 lead with about 50 seconds left with a layup. However Albany's Jacob Iati hit a tying 3 with 12 ticks on the clock left. Stony Brook called timeout to set up the last play which resulted in Joyner's tip as the top seed fought off the feisty Danes.

Gerardo Suero once again led Albany with 17 points. he also contributed 5 boards and 4 helpers but it wasn't enough. The question now is will Albany get an invite to one of the other 3 post season tournaments besides the NCAA. At 19-14  over all and 9-7 in the conference you would think they have a shot. The NCAA selections will be made next Sunday, followed by the N.I.T and then the 2 lesser known tournaments, The CBI and the College Insider tournaments are the last 2.

Stony brook dominated the glass out rebounding The Great Danes 41-24.
