Hudson Valley Vikings Football team like many others has decided to postpone the 2020 season and possibly make it up in Spring of 2021. In his second year as the Vikings head coach, Don Jones is not only attempting to build momentum following a 5-4 2019 season that ended on a two-game win streak while navigating a pandemic. How has HVCC's football continued to follow its directive "Succeed and Proceed"?

Coach Jones is in a position where not only does he focus on winning football games for the Vikings but his goal is to get his players onto a four year institution and continue their football career. So now coach jones has to figure out how to keep his guys motivated in the classroom and potentially find them future opportunities all while they can't play football. Meanwhile he needs to continue to recruit his next group of players not knowing when they will take the field again. Even though there is a Spring schedule posted on the teams website the school has not officially decided to play in March. So as Jones says 'he's chomping at the bit" to get back out on the field. One thing is for certain, if you're a player looking for a coach that is just as concerned about where you'll play next as how you play for him, this is your guy.
