If Girardi Doesn’t Return to Yankees, It Should Be His Decision

There shouldn’t even be a discussion on Joe Girardi returning to manage the Yankees next season, unless he doesn’t want to return. Girardi took the Yankees to within one game of the World Series this season and next year should be even better. It was a young team this season that responded to Girardi, and when the fans and media were ready to run him out of town for game 2's gaffe in Cleveland, his team responded with three straight wins. If Girardi wants to return the door should be wide open.
