Last night most of the country witnessed America's team lose a game where they led by 17 going into halftime before blowing said lead and losing to the 49ers 34-31. The game was a tale of two halves, with the Lions dominating one half and the 49ers dominating the other.

I was so confident the Lions had the game in the bag, that I ordered a new sweatshirt during halftime to celebrate our first NFC in YEARS. I may have jinxed everything as a result, and yes, I am experiencing buyer's remorse. My bad everyone.

While it was a crushing way for the Lions' dream season to end, the 49ers did the Lions dirty before the game even started.

The 49ers Unique Flag Was Missing One Key Detail

Before football games, and especially before big games like the NFC Championship, the home team will bring out a large American flag to display during the playing of the National Anthem. Last night's game was no different, as the 49ers unveiled a large flag in the shape of the contiguous United States. Well, almost the entire contiguous US.

Anyone in Michigan will instantly notice what is wrong with this flag, and if you didn't notice...come on. I'll give you a hint: where are YOU on this flag? Yep. Michigan is non-existant. They LEFT their OPPONENT off the flag. While, yes, the size and scale of the flag are impressive, it is rather unforgivable to not include one of the most recognizable states in the country (no I'm not being dramatic). The disrespect was real.

Does This Flag Break US Flag Law?

The US Flag Laws are a series of rules that dictate how the American Flag can and can't be used or displayed. One of the rules was brought up on a Reddit thread discussing whether this US-shaped flag broke a rule regarding the modification/display of the flag. Since this flag doesn't have the traditional shape of a flag, can it even be considered a flag?

Here is the thought of the top-up-voted post,

"just because it bears the image of the flag doesn't mean it is a flag. Flag code...is just a set of guidelines to be followed for if you want your flag to be considered a genuine u.s. flag. This isn't trying to be that. so it doesn't matter."

Do you agree? The full list of rules can be found here.
