Saratoga Springs Voted 10the Best Small College Town

USA Today readers voted Saratoga Springs as the 10th best small college town in the nation! The article says as home to Empire State University and Skidmore College make the Spa city a great spot for students looking to further their education, and spots like the Race Course and Saratoga Lake provide great recreational opportunities.

The entertainment options in Saratoga City make the city an attractive college destination as well. An active social and bar scene on Caroline Street is always a hit with the college crowd.

The experts at Money Inc. have compiled their annual rankings of the worst place to live in New York for 2023 based on safety, quality of schools, the strength of local job markets, and leisure/entertainment. When you put that all together, Money Inc. says there are 20 New York cities and towns to stay away from.

New York State's 10 Drunkest Counties

According to County Health Rankings and Roadmaps, these are the 10 New York counties with the highest rates of excessive alcohol consumption among adults. The CDC says exessive drinking includes binge drinking which is "...defined as consuming 4 or more drinks on an occasion for a woman or 5 or more drinks on an occasion for a man.." and heavy drinking which " ...for women...is 8 drinks or more per week/For men, heavy drinking is 15 drinks or more per week."
