Jets Finalizing Deal With Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams

The New York Jets coaching staff is beginning to take shape. Head coach Adam Gase had his introductory press conference yesterday with tons of criticism over his appearance. If there's real criticism to Gase's ability it's on the defensive side of the ball and long term experience. New Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams covers both those issues.

Greg Williams has a past that is for sure. He was a key figure in "Bounty Gate" where he was part of paying players for injuring other players but he's paid for that and is one of the most successful Defensive Coordinators. Williams likes to blitz and and will certainly bring a defensive energy to the Jets. The rest of the staff will now begin to fall into place but in my opinion so far so good for the Jets. This staff won't win many popularity contests but could win games for Gang Green.
